No more cut-and-paste from Vacation Bible School programs of other faiths—the K4J program is specifically designed to help children discover Christ and learn and live their Catholic faith in all its richness.
The program teaches core aspects of the faith, such as virtue, prayer, Eucharist, respect for Mary and the ministerial priesthood, personal mission (vocation) and the sacraments. This year's VBS reinforces the beauty of life in the Church and helps kids discover that we are all missionaries. The lives of the saints serve as examples of faith that guide kids in their own efforts to respond to a personal mission to Win the World for Jesus!

Focused on Forming Virtue
It’s no secret that kids today need a strongly virtue-based educational program to teach them how to apply their faith in real life. The K4J program brings each lesson down to earth with a focus on forming virtue at home, at school, and among their friends.
- Daily lessons contain a virtue component that shows kids how to live out their faith in practical ways.
- Saint stories offer kids virtuous models to imitate through skits, songs, station activities, and holy hero cards.
- The age level Send-It-Home packs are filled with mission-motivating materials and give kids concrete opportunities to practice specific virtues at home.
Exciting and Interactive
K4J Vacation Bible School has passed the kid test with flying colors! It is fun and interactive, engages the children’s creativity and fosters teamwork and friendship. Leaders appreciate the simple layout and planning guides, and accurate and pedagogically sound content, too!
- Activities are designed by Catholic educators with years of experience involving children in activity-based learning.
- Songs involve the kids by use of clever teaching lyrics, hand motions and sing-along tunes.
- Lives of the saints become real to the kids as they act out skits and take part in learning activities and projects.
- Practices of faith are learned through Music & Chapel Time as well as Missionaries In Motion station activities, and the Day 5 closing Mass.
- Leaders have the option to add the 5th- 8th grade Captains program to involve older school children as role models and leaders. This peer-to-peer leadership program is exciting and enriching for all age groups involved.
