PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of Heavenly Host - by the Power of God - cast into hell, satan and all evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION

"By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples."
(Jn 15:8)
Picture
Adult Faith Formation is at the heart of our catechetical vision and practice. It is situated not at the periphery of the Church's educational mission, but at its center. It is the central task and chief form of all catechesis, and the axis around which revolves the catechesis of childhood, adolescence as well as that of old age. It is essential to who we are and what we do as Church.

Adult Faith Formation cultivates and nurtures a variety of spiritual development attitudes, relationships and opportunities to involve adults in the life of Christ. These aim to bring adults to Christian maturity and collaboration in the mission of the Church to transform the world in communion with the Lord.

Inspired by the Bishops' Pastoral Plan on Adult Faith Formation (Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us), the St. Mary Queen of Angels seeks to provide consultation, training, education, and resources to assist adults and throughout our parish community to be continue their journey of faith as well as grow in effective lifelong adult ministry. We seek to serve in the formation of adults who can engage their culture from a truly Catholic-Biblical worldview that draws on the rich intellectual and sacramental life of the Church.

I invite you to grow in friendship with Christ.

"Adult faith is clearly and explicitly rooted in a personal relationship with Jesus lived in the Christian community."
"The Christian faith is, above all, conversion to Jesus Christ, full and sincere adherence to his person and the decision to walk in his footsteps." Our understanding of the person and the way of Jesus continues to grow by our meditation on the word of God, by prayer and sacrament, by our efforts to follow Jesus' example, and by the sure guidance of the Church's teaching."
